The Ultimate and Irreplaceable Work of Jesus Christ

The scriptures tells us that kingdom of God is the most powerful kingdom which shall not be destroyed. There is no other kingdom or power in heaven or earth that can stand before the kingdom of God.

Daniel saw a vision of one like the Son of man. “I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him. And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.” (Daniel 7:13-14)

The Son of man which received the kingdom and an everlasting dominion is Yeshua the messiah, the Son of the living God which became flesh and made his dwelling among us.

Born again

Jesus told Nicodemus that unless a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God and further explains that except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God (John 3: 3, 5). Thus making clear the way to enter into the kingdom.

But the question is why is it important to be born again in order to enter into the kingdom of God?

Genesis 2:16-17 tells us that the Lord God commanded man not to eat the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. “And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.”

Look, how clearly the Lord God told man that “for in the day that you eat from it you shall surely die“. The enemy deceived Eve by saying that you will surely not die. “And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil” (Genesis 3: 4-5).

Death entered into the world by this disobedience of man just as told by God who cannot lie. However, we see that Adam lived 930 years before he died. This physical death was the consequence of his spiritual death which came to him the day he disobeyed the Lord God. That is why when the Lord God came to meet Adam, He cannot find him because he died spiritually. “And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden. And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?” (Genesis 3: 8-9).

Therefore, it is important for mankind to born again in order to enter into the kingdom of God. We need to be liberated from the bondage of spiritual death. But the punishment of the sin which brought death into the world needs to be taken by someone. Since without shedding of blood there is no remission.

Lamb of God

Isaiah  59:16 says “And he saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor: therefore his arm brought salvation unto him; and his righteousness, it sustained him.”

God brought his Son into the world, Lamb without blemish and spot. So that He can put the penalty of our sins on Him. “For as much as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you” (1 Peter 1:18-20). It is the blood of Jesus that speaks better things than that of Abel, for by His blood we are redeemed.

We need to remember that in order to bring this salvation to us God made Jesus an offering for sin.  “The LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth. Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand” (Isaiah 53: 6, 9, 10)”. Jesus on the cross cried with a loud voice “My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?“.

The God of hope resurrected Jesus from the death, for it was impossible for death to hold Him. As promised, God has not left the soul of Jesus in hell, but the Sovereign Spirit of God made alive Jesus from the dead, having loosed the pains of death. Through His death He has destroyed him who that the power of death and delivered us from the bondage.

Made alive with Him

As we receive the infallible Word of God and all that Jesus did for us, the Spirit of God quickens our spirit from inherited death.
He brings the reality of being born again into our spirits. The Spirit of God brings the Life of God in our spirit, breaking the chains of spiritual death. This could happen only because of the finished work of the cross of Jesus Christ.
As we believes in our hearts and confess with our mouth that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God, the Lord and savior, we are saved. We enter into the kingdom of God, He becomes our king and establishes His righteousness, joy and peace in the Holy Spirit within us. Jesus said that the kingdom of God is within us.

We need to understand the ultimate price that Jesus paid for us. Nothing should replace the work of Jesus Christ in our lives. Nothing in the body of Christ should try to replace the finished work of cross of Jesus Christ. To God be all the glory in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
